Compliment of Joe Dubner (K7JD), you may fly my flights in Google Earth. What you need is Google Earth installed on your computer (click the link to install). Click the following link: http://www.mail2600.com/cgi-bin/ui.cgi?call=Kd8iir.
Go down to item "7. Google Earth network link for kd8iir" for a real-time flight (it works only if I am flying at this moment), or, item "8. Most Recent Track or Tour" to fly my last flight. You may also go to item "4. Select Any Track ". You will be able to fly any of my past flights. After Google Earth opens, click the play button at the middle left of the window and you will be flying my flight.
I have found that sometimes the simulation (tour) did not work even in Firefox. I used the following procedure to make it work. After click on "Run Google Earth" a dialog box open. Click "save". When asked the filename, type "tour.kml". After the file is saved, you may click the file to begin the tour.
Make sure filetype ".kml" is associated with "Google Earth". Unfortunately, on my Windows Vista computer it did not open Google Earth automatically. Only after I saved the file, I was able to open Google Earth by clicking on the saved kml file.
If you have any questions, please read Joe's FAQ page.
Enjoy your flight (is it my flight?)!
Old Flight Tracks
You must have Google Earth installed on your computer before you can run the following tracks. If the file does not open Google Earth, right click on the item below and choose "Save Target As". Open the saved file will get you to Google Earth simulation.
