N103LF, is a two seat experimental airplane (RV-9A) I built from a kit supplied by Van's Aircraft (builder #91048). I began my project in October 2004 in my garage. Due to my wife's job change, in August 2005 the project was moved to a hangar at the Greater Portsmouth Regional Airport (KPMH) at Minford, Ohio. I moved to Portsmouth in January 2006 and dedicated full time on the project. On August 15th, 2006, three gentlemen from the Cincinnati FSDO (FAA) inspected the airplane and gave me the blessing (airworthiness certificate). First flight followed immediately on the 16th. 40 hours phase one flight test was complete in a month on September 14th. Since then, I have enjoyed the freedom of flying with this wonderful airplane.
N103LF has an empty weight of 1084lb. It cruises at 153 ktas (176 mph true air speed) at 2400 rpm. On takeoff it climbs at above 1500 fpm. Detailed performance data and specifications of RV-9A can be found here: RV-9 data.
I am presenting this website to share information with you and also archive information for myself. Since I began the website in Feburary 2006, it has grown significantly. There are four pages linked from this homepage. They are list of equipment, my own pages, other RV sites, and flying related pages. You may find my builder logs, flying, maintenance, technical, etc. information in section two: My Own Pages. Hope you find them interesting and helpful.
